Privacy Policy
Last updated: 14 July 2026
Sage Ziman Psychology is committed to protecting your privacy in accordance with the Australian Privacy Principles (APPs) under the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth). This policy explains what personal information is collected through this website, how it's used, and your rights.
What this website collects
The enquiry form on the Contact page collects only the minimal information needed to respond to your enquiry: your name, email address, and — if you choose to provide them — your phone number, preferred contact method, best time to reach you, and any brief message about what's prompting you to reach out. This form is deliberately not a clinical intake, and you're encouraged not to share detailed health information through it.
This website uses Google Analytics to understand how the site is used — for example, which pages are visited and how visitors arrive at the site. Google Analytics collects information such as your approximate location, device and browser type, and pages viewed; it does not collect your name or contact details. You can read more inGoogle's Privacy Policy, and you can opt out of Google Analytics tracking across all websites using theGoogle Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on.
How your enquiry information is used
Information submitted through the enquiry form is used solely to respond to your enquiry and arrange an initial phone call. It is not used for marketing, sold, or shared with third parties, other than the service providers used to operate this website and receive form submissions (for example, the website hosting provider and Netlify, which processes enquiry form submissions).
Where your information is stored
Enquiry form submissions are processed using Netlify Forms, a service provided by Netlify, Inc. Netlify stores form submissions on infrastructure located in the United States, so the information you submit through the enquiry form is transferred to and processed on servers outside Australia. Submissions are also delivered to Sage's practice email.
This means your enquiry information may be handled by an overseas service provider. Before using this provider, reasonable steps have been taken to ensure it handles personal information securely and consistently with the Australian Privacy Principles, including APP 8 (cross-border disclosure). You can read more in Netlify's Privacy Policy.
Enquiry submissions are retained only as long as needed to respond to your enquiry and are deleted within[RETENTION PERIOD] unless you become a client, in which case relevant information is transferred into Sage's clinical records. If you do not proceed, you may request deletion of your enquiry at any time (see 'Access, correction and complaints' below).
Health information collected during therapy
If you go on to become a client, any clinical or health information collected during the course of therapy (separate from this website's enquiry form) is handled under Sage's clinical record-keeping obligations as a registered psychologist, and is subject to stricter confidentiality protections explained to you directly at the start of therapy.
Access, correction and complaints
You can request access to, or correction of, your personal information at any time by contacting[SAGE: privacy contact — name/role and email]. If you have a concern about how your information has been handled, you can raise it directly, or contact theOffice of the Australian Information Commissioner (OAIC).
Crisis and emergency situations
This website and its enquiry form are not monitored for emergencies. In a crisis, call 000, or Lifeline on 13 11 14.
